What is SEMA Rewards? The name, the logo, and how you earn
SEMA Rewards is a platform that pays creators for the views their videos get. Brands and agencies fund campaigns, creators make short videos for them and post them on their own social media accounts, and every view those videos bring in counts toward what the creator earns.
That is the whole idea in one line. The rest of this article is about where the name comes from, why the logo looks the way it does, and how the money actually reaches you.
Why "SEMA"?
Sema (σῆμα) is an ancient Greek word for a signal, a sign, or a mark. It is the root of words you may already know: "semantics", the study of what signs mean, and "semaphore", which literally means "signal bearer".
We chose it because a good video is exactly that: a signal. A clip that stops someone mid-scroll sends one out. People see it, watch it to the end, and share it. On SEMA Rewards that signal is measured in views, and views are what you get paid for.
A mark works the same way. Every video you post leaves a mark on the internet, and on SEMA Rewards that mark stays yours: it lives on your own account, and it earns for you.
Why the logo looks like Wi-Fi
Look at the SEMA Rewards logo and you will probably think of the Wi-Fi symbol. That is on purpose.
Wi-Fi is how people get connected to the internet. Our logo stands for the same thing: SEMA Rewards connects everyone to the internet to make money. With a phone and a connection, you can earn digital money online, with no office and no experience needed to start.
And the signal in the logo brings it back to the name. SEMA means signal, and the logo is one.
How it works
- Pick a campaign. Brands post campaigns, and joining one is free. Each campaign shows its rates, its minimum views, and what it wants you to make.
- Make and post your video. Follow the campaign's brief, with our lessons to show you how, and post the video on your own TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Threads or X account. Each campaign lists the platforms it accepts.
- Connect your account. SEMA Rewards finds the videos you post, ready to submit, and tracks their views for you.
- Get paid. Claim your earnings to your SEMA wallet, then withdraw them to your bank account or e-wallet.
There are two kinds of campaign. Clipping campaigns ask you to cut existing content, like streams, podcasts or shows, into short clips. UGC campaigns ask you to film your own video about a product. CPM campaigns pay a set rate for every 1,000 views, so more views mean more pay; pay-per-post campaigns pay one fixed amount per video.
No followers or experience needed
You are paid for the views your videos get, not for your follower count. If a campaign does ask for a minimum number of followers, it says so on the campaign page.
And if you have never made a clip before, that is fine. Free lessons in the SEMA Academy walk you from sign-up to your first withdrawal, and our Discord community runs daily classes where you learn to create and clip alongside other creators.
