How Ranks Work on SEMA Rewards: From Bronze to Immortal

Every creator on SEMA Rewards has a rank. You start at Bronze the day you sign up, and every video that gets approved, and every view it brings in, moves you up a ladder of eight ranks to Immortal. Higher ranks unlock perks: the Shard Store, early access to new campaigns, priority review for your claims, and a bonus on what your videos earn, paid by SEMA.

This guide covers what counts toward your rank, what each rank asks for and unlocks, and how to climb.

Two ranks on one account

You have a clipper rank and a creator rank:

  • Your clipper rank counts your work on clipping campaigns, where you cut existing content such as streams, podcasts or shows into short clips.
  • Your creator rank counts your work on UGC campaigns, where you film your own video about a product.

Both climb the same eight ranks with the same requirements, but they are counted separately, so you can be Gold as a clipper and Silver as a creator. Each campaign looks at the rank that matches it: a clipping campaign at your clipper rank, a UGC campaign at your creator rank. Your Progression page shows both.

What counts toward your rank

Every rank above Bronze has two goals: views and approved videos. You need both.

  • Only approved videos count. A video counts once a reviewer approves your submission. Videos still waiting for review, and rejected ones, add nothing.
  • Views count up to 100.000 per video. A clip on 2 million views counts 100.000 toward your rank. One viral hit cannot carry you up the ladder; steady posting does.
  • Both goals, every time. Say you have 140 approved clipping videos with 11 million views counted. That is enough views for Gold but not its 150 videos, so you stay Silver until ten more are approved. The Progression page shows what is left on each goal.

There is nothing to claim. Your rank moves by itself as videos are approved and their views are updated, which happens twice a day.

The eight ranks

At the time of writing, these are the requirements, the same on both ladders:

RankViewsApproved videos
BronzeNoneNone
Silver3 million50
Gold10 million150
Platinum25 million300
Emerald50 million500
Diamond100 million1.000
Master500 million5.000
Immortal1 billion10.000

Everyone starts at Bronze. Ranks count your lifetime totals, so there are no seasons and nothing to renew. The Progression page always shows the current requirements.

What each rank unlocks

Perks add up as you climb: every rank keeps the perks of the ranks below it.

  • Silver: the Shard Store. You earn Shards every time your XP level goes up, and Silver is where you can start spending them on rewards. Silver on either of your two ranks is enough. How XP Works on SEMA Rewards explains levels and Shards.
  • Gold: exclusive campaigns and early access. Some campaigns are open only to Gold and above: creators below Gold can still see them, marked Gold+, but cannot submit. And for the first hour after a new campaign goes live, only Gold and above can submit to it. Everyone else sees when it opens for them, and a clip they post during that hour can still be submitted once it does.
  • Platinum: priority claim review, and a 2% CPM bonus. Your claims go ahead of others of the same kind in the review queue: your first claim on a video before other first claims, your later claims before other later claims. They are checked the same way as everyone's.
  • Emerald: VIP events, and a 5% CPM bonus. Invitations to VIP SEMA events, and the CPM bonus rises to 5%.
  • Diamond: the SEMA Award. A physical award, yours to keep.
  • Master and Immortal keep everything below them, at the very top of the ladder.

From Diamond up, the ladder also lists a lower platform fee, marked Coming soon. It is not applied yet, so fees are the same at every rank.

The CPM bonus, step by step

At the time of writing, SEMA adds 2% at Platinum on top of what your videos earn per 1.000 views, and 5% from Emerald up: 5% in total, not 2% plus 5%. SEMA pays it, not the brand.

  • It follows the campaign's rules. A video that earns nothing yet, for example one under the campaign's minimum views, earns no bonus either, and a post still stops at the campaign's max payout per post.
  • It is paid with the rest of the video's earnings. It goes into the same claim, and the platform fee comes off the whole amount.
  • It starts with the first view update after you reach the rank. Earnings counted before then are not recalculated.
  • It is for CPM earnings only. Campaigns that pay a fixed amount per post, and Mobile Legends diamond campaigns, carry no bonus.

An example. A clipping campaign pays Rp 4.000 per 1.000 views, with a max payout of Rp 300.000 per post. Your clip reaches 50.000 views: 50 blocks, Rp 200.000 from the campaign.

  • At Gold or below, the clip has earned Rp 200.000.
  • At Platinum, SEMA adds 2%: Rp 204.000.
  • At Emerald and above, SEMA adds 5%: Rp 210.000.

The cap applies to the total. At Emerald, the clip reaches its Rp 300.000 cap at 72.000 views instead of 75.000, and earns nothing more after that. How CPM Works in Clipping covers blocks, caps and claims in full.

Rank, XP level, leaderboard: three different numbers

Your Progression page shows three numbers that are easy to mix up:

  • Your rank, Bronze to Immortal, one for each ladder. It counts approved videos and their views, and unlocks the perks above.
  • Your XP level. XP counts everything you do on SEMA, from submissions and approvals to views, daily tasks and quests, in one total across clipping and UGC. Each new level pays Shards. It does not change your rank.
  • Your place on the Leaderboard, which compares you with other creators. It does not change your rank or its perks either.

How to climb faster

  • Post steadily. Every approved video counts toward your video goal, and with views capped at 100.000 per video, many good clips beat one viral one.
  • Get your videos approved. A rejected video counts for nothing, however many views it has. Read the brief before you record; How to Pick a Campaign shows what to check.
  • Stay on the ladder you want to climb. Clipping and UGC never combine: 40 approved clipping videos and 10 approved UGC videos are not 50 on either ladder.
